Career Contessa is originally an online blog dedicated to providing women with the tools and resources needed to build and balance a successful career. My goal with this project was to bring that digital community into the world of Women's Interest magazines. For the department pages, I wanted to create a layout that would allow the reader to breathe from time to time, especially since Career Contessa likes articles with a high word count. For the features, I tried to find a balance between the aesthetics of the stories and the magazine itself.
